The Directors of Leicestershire Asian Business Association (LABA) hosted the Indian delegation from Punjab, led by Hakam Singh Giaspura, the Mayor of Ludhiana and accompanied by Parveen Bansal, Snr.Dep. Mayor. This was a return visit from Ludhiana Municipal Corporation to consolidate the civic arrangements between the City of Leicester UK and Ludhiana(Punjab) INDIA. Punjab Link Council which was instrumental in setting up the links, working with LABA, is energetically promoting business and commercial collaborations between North India and UK companies. The President of LABA, Jaspal Minhas stated that " LABA is set to lead the business to business agenda between local businesses and Punjab as part of UKplc bilateral trade with the global markets of India".
